Are you the same "offline" as you are "online" ?

I've met people over the years that weren't even close to their online persona.

    Hello Rooster:

Pretty much.  I'm a grouch in real life too.

I'd have to say I am.  There's no reason for me to change my personality on line.  I'm happy with who I am.

  • I'm alittle quieter in person, but, other than that, I'm pretty much the same. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 15, 2017 4:48 PM MST

  • Not much. I'm a little more serious at times, and a little more opinionated.

Yes, I think so. I've been told so anyway. For me, it'd be really hard to have dual personas.

Jaimie!!!! I've missed you! I left you a Birthday Walken with extra cowbell on the other sight on your birthday, but it was magically erased! So, the next time you post a question, I have a gift for you to make up for the Walken loss. :))

  • I've missed you too :) I heard about all the vanishing messages to me ....So thanks for the thought :) I'm staying away from there for now cos I can't keep my mouth shut when I'm annoyed and I'd like keep my account in place if they ever get rid the new staff :/ great see you here :)

Somewhat. There will be stuff I don't share that I do share here where I can stay anonymous. Likewise there will be stuff I don't share here that I do offline, all to keep my anonymity. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at January 13, 2017 10:10 PM MST

  • How sweet.  Sometimes unexpectedly  when I look around it's obvious that WingedWonder is gone but it's sort of as though seeing the light around a black hole...nothing is visible at the center of it all.  Nothing appears to occupy the empty space yet there is evidence of a presence and influence.  I stand in front of this mirror with no reflection.  People speaking to someone not there anymore.  Yet still here I am.  I am haunted by ghosts, harmless and well intentioned that are seemingly able to soar even while weighted by memories.  I smile and wave to them and they move on.  Always moving on.  Always toward the past where they are most comfortable, and I...toward the possibilities of tommorrow.

I'm probably more articulate online because I take more time to be precise in what I want to say than I might in a face to face conversation. I don't converse with large groups of people for fun in real life as much as I do online. Aside from that, I'm basically the same.

  • I'm pretty much the same. I know a lot of introverted people who become big social butterflies online, but that's not me--I'm still awkward and quiet even online.

I think that I'm the same, but I think I actually come off a lot more "sweet" and "girly" sounding in real life than I do when I type. It also depends on the topic.

For no reason at all I started thinking about you over and over yesterday.  This is so weird, Ondine.   You sent me a friend request and when I clicked on it it disappeared.   So, I will try and find you and friend you.

Yes! I wanted to message you, but didn't know how with this new format. I just made a new recording and wanted to see if you were interested in a link.

Yes.  I am very interested.  Send it.  I need to find the way to friend you.  That is usually easy.

Okay.  Done.  It will be interesting to see how the new site looks to you compared to last year when we last talked.  Or wrote I should say. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at January 17, 2020 5:34 AM MST
