What were you irrationally afraid of, if of anything, when you were little?
I slept on a big, tall bed that was about a foot off the floor. At night, I would take a running start and jump, so that whatever lived under there couldn't grab me by my feet as I climbed on to it.
Wow Ms T, That's a terrifying one. Amazing how real those fears are. I would, also, never look out the Windows at night. I was sure there would be somebody standing there looking in. Thanks Ms T, Thsts a scary one.

Two things stick out. My parents had this alabaster statue of a conquistador that for some reason scared the hell out of me at night. The other was this cover if the Eagles album that was always in front of all their records staring at me on the way to the bathroom.
A statue of a Conquistador! That's sort of cool actually, although I can see how it would be scary. My mother had a picture of Jesus, right above the tv. I think it wassupposed to keep us from watching bad shows. He was positioned in a way and with an expression that felt like it didn't matter what you chose to watch, he would have a sad disapproving look on his face. It was always creepy walking in front of it, especially at night. Which cover was it??

I wouldn't consider that an irrational fear. Seems fairly valid to me . Strangely enough, I was never afraid of snakes. Now roaches,THATS a whole different story! Thanks V.

I was old enough (6 yrs old) that I knew it was not possible but still could not shake the fear. I would always get out of the tub first before I would pull the plug.
That's A Good One! I've never heard of that one. I've heard of people afraid of falling in the Toilet, but the tub drain is a new one. Thanks That's a real good answer.
