  • I was running in a marathon, back in the 80s, and about 30 km into the race there was a biker gang at the top of the hill, hurling insults at us. It was all good natured and broke the monotony of such a long race. The leader looked like the kind of thug you'd see looking for trouble in a trucker movie and as I ran past I asked, "Do you give mouth to mouth?" Thank God he didn't try. I wouldn't have had the strength to fight him off.
