Not you too!  First Sapphie, then Liv, now you.  And to think that I gave your name to my defense attorneys as character witness number one. You're supposed to vouch for me, not join the other side.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    :(

    (No tilde for you, turncoat.)

My lawyers have advised me not to have any direct communication with my accusers. Please cease and desist from bothering me and instead contact them if you have any more lies to spew.

  • Depends on the two people concerned and the depth of the relationship. In normal circumstances it's only good manners to take time for an explanation. If one or the other is likely to turn nasty then quicker is better, possibly with an armed escort. :(

  • I find a personal letter... Sent personally from a foreign country with no return address works best for me.

Seriously though it depends on the relationship ... Had he earned respect? ... His personality, and what's best for him and what will ease him through the transition .. only you know the answers ... Good luck!

Hmm. I'd say no matter how we prepare to deliver a message, the other will sense our tense. This is why a longer speech should be avoided. The anxiety build up until main message is delivered is only going to make it worse for the receiver. Present the message as sober as possible and offer an explanation if asked for.

I think there should be a verbal explanation and sometimes a visual explanation - like a power point presentation with grafts and pie charts to help point out why the  relationship won't work. Cheers!
