When someone says something to you or asks a question do you ever say 'give me a minute -I gotta give it some critical thought'?

I have done that a few times.. on here.. rarely in real life.. but it's something I DO try to cultivate... I wish I could be the kind to analyse and take time to think things through.. but I am afraid I am the reactive sort.. instant, impulsive.. My gut reactions are usually right... but I do see that if I didn't react so... reactively, I could word things better, and soothe better and ultimately that's a better way to get what I want achieved.

Unless I have formed an opinion (beforehand given it critical thought) I may ask for some time to consider an opinion to a question...

Nope.  I just wing it or stare at them until they are so uncomfortable that they leave.

depends on if i need time to think about it or not
