What is a REAL man ?

A man who says, ok honey, I'll take care of it.  :  )

However if the couple actually lives together and has open communication it would go more like:

" ok honey, let's sit down together and discuss it and see if there is anything we can do."

Not something that is easily put into words.  I know it when I find it.

If you can carry your own weight on this world, obey the law, own up to your responsibilities, serve your community, work hard, be a role model, live respectfully among neighbors and contribute positively to the world, you have begun to scratch the surface of what it is to truly be a man.

I think you have the necessary equipment, from what you say, to qualify as a real man.. because you know being a real man has NOTHING to do with all the ridiculous hype out there.. a real man is this or that.. rubbish.. real men come in all shapes, sizes and kinds.. . and this utter codswallop that you have to somehow be manly, aggressive, bossy, selfish, a player etc.. that's rubbish.. a man is a person who has sufficient confidence and integrity to just be himself. 

Whoever he is. That's a real man. I agree with Adaydreambeliever: it is nonsense saying a REAL man is this/that (same with women.. 'women do this, that..') Who you ARE in essence and spirit is a REAL man (or woman) Even these labels man or woman have made us all less open, less expansive. One of my fave authors, Byron Katie said labels and words are not 'you'. Even the word man or woman, even Human, she said. What we are is not a thought or word, and I loved that.  :)

Define real.

Define man.

Yes of course.  Men are just men and that whole "real" thing is just the invention of people who want to dictate to you how you should act and what you should feel.
