There is also cancer and heart attacks that take us out.  Will they ever find a CURE for each of them?

Cancer and heart disease is a cure for alzhiemer's; rather than ending your years in a vegetable state.

Jim is 81 and I'm 79. We'll be 82 and 80 in a few months. We're going for triple digits Addb. Set your sights higher! Go for the gusto! Just my 2 cents' worth! :)

You can beat cancer my friend but Alzheimer's is incurable so I'd rather take my chances with that. In fact I had stage 3 cancer in 2008 and I beat it and 9 years later I'm still cancer-free so far. But Alzheimer's? By now I wouldn't be here so that's the really one for me. Thank you for your reply Addb and Happy Saturday to thee! :)

Where's the tie-in blaming it all on Donald Trump?  (I feel cheated.)

I beat stage 3 cancer in 2008 Zack! I'm still cancer-free 9 years later. So far so good! You can beat cancer. You can recover from heart attacks. My brother-in-law had a QUINTUPLE bypass in 2009 and he is still here. But you can't beat Alzheimer's. SIGH. All deaths are not slow/painful. My dad took a nap before he was supposed to go to work in 1960 and never woke up. I saw him before the coroner arrived and he had a slight smile on his face and looked so peaceful. I'm sure it was painless. I think that was his reward for being a good man. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

  • While I value life, I have no fear of death.

If the death rate for any cause rose 55% in 15 years, there would have to be a reason beyond the disease itself...some outside thing causing the increase.

Personally, I fear fire the most.

If they do/did, we would never know...cures are not profitable.

There are many intelligent and kindhearted scientists who have dedicated their lives in the search for a cure to diseases such as cancer. However, they will never find a cure as well meaning as they are. There is reason to believe mankind will be cured of all disease.
