I only like cold showers when the weather is incredibly hot.  I take them when I am forced to.  For example, when my water heater is broken or, I don't have access to a sexual partner and I am having trouble focusing on anything else.

Sadly, the latter is pretty much a constant. :-(

I would rather not shower at all than to take a cold shower. However, I recommend that you make a habit of taking cold showers.

I don't care how hot it is if that shower isn't at least 100 degrees I will not get in it! End of story.

  • i'm not into a cold shower. i don't like to be naked and cold. i will take a tepid shower and then air-dry, if i'm overheated at home.

i do like diving into cool (not cold) water, on a hot day, under the sun... where i can warm up quick, and not be totally naked.

Not even when it's over 100 degrees outside. Hot showers all year round, cooling to lukewarm in summer. Cold water doesn't get you clean.

Personal experience with hard water. It's tough getting the soap to lather properly with hot water, with cold it's almost impossible.

Use plastic loofah types things. I literally use a bar of soap that lasts me for six months or so.

  • I always turn my water to cold for last few minutes of a shower. It's good for your skin and hair. First I like it hot though.

  • Yes :) have you tried conditioning your hair first then washing it? It makes a huge difference... I've been doing it backwards for years ... I think most people do.

In the Summer (already now) the cold water is warm so my showers use no hot water.   One Summer I just turned off the water heater for the whole season.  I'm going  to turn off the breaker again in a couple of weeks for the Summer.  I will be gone half the season anyway.  My dishwasher heats its water so any other hot water I need in the kitchen I get from the electric kettle.
