Due to my productive, steady income, I am always giving out money. My handicapped son gets a generous portion every month. Even though she has an income, the spouse always has her hand out. Then there is the cat------------

That is commendable/admirable of you bh. But the question is which do you enjoy more? Taking care of or being taken care of? Happy Monday.

I have taken care of so many people that I don't mind a little pay back. This post was edited by Lulu'sMom at July 17, 2017 2:46 AM MDT

I hear ya Lulu'sMom! You take care of your kids when they're young and when they're out on their own unless they call on you for help your job is basically done.. Jim took care of his parents when they were elderly and ill as well as holding down a full-time job. His kids were grown by then. He is a nurturer. I am too. So with kids grown and no longer needing us we "adopted" a stray cat and lavish him (Tigger) with a lotta love and attention. Once you get in the habit of being responsible for others it's hard to break it. The kids have done some really great things for us and I agree...a little loving payback is really swell! Thank you for your reply m'dear and Happy Monday. Of course Jim and I also take care of each other! :) ((hugs)) This post was edited by RosieG at July 17, 2017 3:10 AM MDT

Being taken care of by people I trust, love and respect. My parents never did a great job of taking care of me so I grew up to yearn it.
