No. I don't think gender had anything to do with who won the election

I don't care if the person is 2'3", purple and cross-dresses so long as they follow the Constitution and the law and have the ability to lead this country in the right direction.

I don't think I ever had any hopes of seeing a woman prez there.. as in I never thought of it in those terms. To us, it's really quite normal to have a female leader.

I had no such hopes to begin with.  My vote has/will never been/be based upon a candidate's gender.

There are other (and younger) democratic candidates than Hillary, Or on the GoP side Ivana could run, a nice piece of eye candy there.

Well, I am pretty sure Ivanka would make a better president than the Donald, And could you imagine Sarah Palin

I think that hamster on his head is running the show. That would explain the incomprehensible tweets - hamster paws aren't suited to computer keyboards.

Ugh, it's so embarrassing. Hope AMers outside the US will spread the word that a lot of us Americans feel like we're being held hostage by this fool. He needs to be in a straightjacket, not the White House.

Unless Michelle changes her mind, probably.
Australia, the UK, New Zealand, India and even Pakistan have had female heads of government. I wouldn't call the US misogynistic, but they certainly can be reactionary.

And they voted for he only because she is a woman ? That is news to me, I thought it was because of her good reputation from working in Congress.

if i asked people why they thought shed a good president...all they could come up with was that shed be our first woman president.  trump  got the vote because of things he said.

No, but I wasn't a fan of Hillary anyway. I voted for her, of course, but I was a Bernie supporter.

Right now, I'm intrigued by Cory Booker as a potential candidate in 2020.

Word is that Obama's been pushing for MA's former governor, Deval Patrick, to run. The two actually have a lot in common.

I've not heard of him. I've been keeping up with Booker since seeing him in a documentary a year or two ago, and I think he's super smart and he appears to genuinely care about people, animals and the environment. Basically, he's the exact opposite of Trumpty Dumpty.

Booker is very impressive, no doubt. And I'm still rooting for Al Franken. As I've said, a hamster could do a better job than Cheeto Benito.

Yeah, I could get behind Franken, too.

I agree. Hamsters are much more attractive, too. :)

I looked him up, and I agree, he sounds like a good choice. A serious politician.
