i lost 6 jobs within the past 5 yrs, I dont look for jobs anymore, i concentrate more on how to live without them, i dont need the disappointment that comes with getting a job and then losing it for a dumb reason.

Many of us are and will be in a similar situation. I salute you.

Thank you Pearl for giving such a complete answer.  Not that what you're saying is a wonderful thing to hear about, but it's more than just 3 words.

  • What sort of reasons? I was fired from a job some years ago.  It wasn't totally unexpected and was an entirely justified decision on the former employer's part.

one was cause i was para aide subbing and they didnt think i could run after kids if they left the playground cause of my hip implants so they stopped calling me, i was tutoring but they never had any jobs after 3 months, i was in a calling center that put me on leave, another one suspended me for a computer mistake so i quit, another one i got a 73 on a test during training instead of the 85 they wanted so another one down the toilet, my last one i was hanging out samples in the stores and this lady came to train me, she saw how short i was 4ft5 and the next thing i know they were calling me saying i couldnt do it anymore

I am the king of fail. As I have bragged about before, I raced motorcycles for some 25 years. Hundreds of races. Only won a few times.  FailfailfailFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.

  • Have you considered blaming the motorcycles rather than yourself?

You keep right on failing. You'd have a tough time without this online persona of yours.

  • Maybe it is best not to even try.

I dont DO failure.. seriously I don't... whatever I do, I do it to the max and make sure I won't fail.. it's not even enough for me to do just enough to scrape by .. I have to do everything to the max.. So i don't do failure.. I avoid it like the plague.. I have no idea what I'd do if I did fail...if I get a set back I usually just work even harder to find ways to navigate round it/take a different route..

All I could think of for an answer was this Aimee Mann song from a favorite movie of mine "magnolia."
Mann wrote and sang several songs in the movie. Then, all of a sudden, all the numerous characters in the movie start singing along with Aimee on the soundtrack, all within their characters. One of the best damn scenes ever for me -- it was best when it came out of nowhere the first time I watched the movie. Sorry for a quasi-plot spoiler.

The song is "Wise Up" - - I tried watching it just now but got too upset already in the first 15 seconds -- the entire scene moves me tremendously - - so I don't have the lyrics memorized but there's a lot of  ". . . . it's not going to stop until you wise up."

Except for the ending -- it goes something like this --

"It's not going to stop, so just - - - give up."

    Kicks ass.

Here's the scene; it's not very long.
