Yes. My son bought some glasses for the occasion. We will see a 97 percent eclipse from Atlanta and will be prepared with infrared glasses. My son wants to see if Planet X is lurking behind the son so we can plan for our own demise. (just kidding) ;)

We have in our neighborhood many species of birds whose habits I am familiar with. Squirrels and rabbits. We have possums and raccoons which would be interesting to see if they show their faces. Lots of various insects. It will be interesting to see if fireflies appear. Our cat likes to prowl during the night. Let's see if she gets antsy.
No, I don't believe you can see it from where I am.. but a colleague is over there and has planned her journey so she, and her kids can see it.. I've mentioned this a few times.. lol anyone would think I am envious :P
It's on a day I have off work so I could take a drive to see the total eclipse. It's 90% where I live but the closest place to me where it's a total eclipse is Grand Island NE which is about 330 miles away.
