Have ever got the lyrics to a song wrong and found your version funny or just could not figure it out but knew it was wrong?
I have 2 examples: Correct/Incorrect (Steve Miller Band-Jet Airliner) "Big Ol Jet Airliner" is not "Bingo Jet had a light On" (Tauren Wells- Love is Action) "Won't Let the saints go silent" is not "Don't let the sex go south"
JOSE can you see, by the dawn's early light! In grade school, I thought we were singing to the Mexicans about how proud we are of our country. I still think that's pretty funny.
I still forget what the actual lyrics are at that point, even though I've looked it up more than once. So, I forget and every time I then hear, I still can't understand the words yet again. :)
I remember in "Lady Madonna"...."wonder how you manage to make ends meet"....I sang "wonder how you manage to make mince meat"...thought it was her making a mince meat pie, I guess....
It's not really funny, but when I heard this song on the radio I thought it was about ending a relationship and I thought the words were "I wanna see you be free."
I was disappointed to learn that it's an inspirational song and the words are "I wanna see you be brave." LoL.
They're not so funny but even though I now know the correct lyrics, any time I hear these songs they still sound to me like Miley and Taylor are singing "my" version of the lyrics.
"My" version, Miley Cyrus - - "You came in like a rainbow!" Correct: "You came in like a wrecking ball!"
"My" version, Taylor Swift - - " . . . in your wild streams." Correct: " . . . your wildest dreams."
