Did Billy Joel ever really release a song better than his first hit "Piano Man?"


I think I good argument could probably be made that "Piano Man" is his best song. 

"Allentown" comes in close for me.

    I like Piano Man but having been on many a drunken team bus, the "La de da, diddy da" that always got chorused off key put me off the song a bit.

    I prefer this one


    And my fave of his is this one - I frequently sing it to my better half

    Two weeks ago, I was at his concert in Philly.  I have to admit I am not that familiar with his early works, but when he got down to the ones that I knew well, the crowd was electrified.
