My life has been jammed with the pursuit of success. I had an unsuccessful early life until I figured out how to aim for success. I developed goals. At age 13, I figured I would become a homeless person if I didn't get to work. So I landed the largest newspaper delivery route in town. Made like $30. per week, which was big bucks for a kid in the 1960's. I didn't like conventional school, so I went to a vocational school that allowed me to learn a trade and also work at a job half the day. On & on & on I went, chasing success.
Life is what you make of it. Whatever you decide is not incumbent upon anyone else. No one can do it for you.
The best way to take one's mind off a pointless life is to go do something to give it meaning. Help your fellow man, be of value to others.
For my part, I have numerous passions and pastimes. Life is too short to waste standing around inert and cluelesss.
