For someone who is not a great thinker....President Trump has out thought the entire field of candidates for R nomination, out thought Hillary Clinton, and is still out thinking the media every day of the week.
No. This is a story you TOLD yourself. This is not the truth. The more you spout this drivel, the more I will remind you that there are other people out here that hear you and read you and that words do have an exact meaning no matter what your hero keeps brainwashing yours with.
You cannot just say something and expect everyone else to believe this insanity. The whole world does not believe you, and you are NOT Joan of Arc. You are defending a dolt. And you are not popular in your fantasy. WAKE UP.
It has long been clear that Donald Trump would be an incompetent president. But over the past week he has proven himself to be a dangerously incompetent president.
At the opening of his presidency, Trump’s unforced errors were embarrassing — but, one could argue, at least the botched rollout of his immigration executive order rendered it vulnerable to legal attack, his poor negotiating skills complicated the passage of his slipshod health-care bill and his inattention to detail enabled his surprisingly capable foreign policy staff to limit the damage he could do. And, some Democrats noted, the president’s flailing has already helped create the conditions for an anti-GOP wave in 2018.
Then Trump fired James B. Comey and had his staff mislead the public about how and why, before admitting that the FBI’s ongoing investigation of his campaign’s possible ties to Russia was a major reason he removed the now-former FBI director. Legal minds are debating whether this was obstruction of justice. But consider how remarkable it is that Trump may not have contemplated this reaction, and to the point that he freely admitted his possible culpability on national television. The president reportedly thought no one would mind if he fired the man presiding over a national security investigation involving his own campaign. In the process, he imperiled the independence of an organization entrusted with extraordinary powers. subscribe The story must be told. Your subscription supports journalism that matters. Now The Post reports that the day after he fired Comey, Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador. U.S. officials apparently obtained the material, which concerned Islamic State plotting, from a foreign ally and did not have permission to share the information with Russia. Though few specific details could be reported, there are a variety of dangerous potential consequences. Not only could the information’s disclosure imperil an intelligence relationship with a helpful government, but it could also reveal a secret intelligence asset to a foreign adversary working at cross purposes to the U.S. and its allies. Play Video 2:51 Trump revealed highly classified intel in Oval Office meeting with Russians During a May 10 meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, Trump began describing details about an Islamic State terror threat, according to current and former U.S. officials. Compounding the insult, the accounts in The Post suggest Trump may have revealed the information in order to boast to his foreign visitors about the quality of the intelligence briefings he receives, as if they would not have known that the president of the United States has access to impressive amounts of secret material. The picture is not so much of conspiracy or malevolence, but of unfathomable carelessness.
Given his many business failures, the only realms in which Trump has proven himself adept are those of popular manipulation and treachery, along with the related arts of show business. No doubt he will use them in the coming days to mislead and scapegoat his way out of accountability.
If, for the first time, one could sketch out a somewhat plausible case for impeachment following the president’s admission that he fired Comey over Russia, one could now piece together an argument for removal due to presidential incapacity based on the revelation that Trump betrayed dear national security secrets in order to impress the Russian foreign minister. The president may have just shown that he can and will harm the nation’s security without any apparent intent to do so.
Impeachment probably is not realistic, but Congress must engage in more aggressive investigation and checking and balancing. Republicans who savagely attacked Hillary Clinton over the petty email server scandal will now show where their true concerns lie — with party or with country. No agenda is worth pretending this presidency is good for the nation. You're right, yet their seething anger and blind hatred of Trump keeps them from seeing those obvious facts. Unfortunately that anger and hatred is controlling them and consuming them like a cancer. Trumps victory over Hillary was the catalyst.
You're one of the fortunate few who hasn't been hit by a hurricane, burned out by a forest fire or shot. Yet. When natural disaster or terrorism strikes, what is needed is action, not self-congratulatory tweets. Belittling the people of Puerto Rico doesn't help - they're Americans too. White rednecks can be terrorists. Call them on it. If the news states something negative about you, it's not automatically "fake". Face facts. Nambia doesn't exist. Bowling Green didn't happen. Covfefe isn't even a word.
What exactly did President Trump fail to do in PR that should have been done?
I don't care if he mispelled a word or called something incorrectly...it is about issues and action. And Trump is doing that all correctly.
Of course, you fault Obama for the 57 states comment, or signing a book as May 2008 in 2011, or refering to the Austrian language....again they all make gaffes--it happens.
Look at it this way. Do you know how an Idiot Savant can do little but one great skill, like memorizing the BIBLE word-for-word or something, otherwise he is mostly retarded in all other areas? More examples? There are people who can play anything on a musical instrument without any prior practice; a math wizard who can decode intensely complicated language in his head and yet they cannot function in the real world. They need assistance. They need a LOT of help.
They need people who are LOYAL and not LEAKERS. Well, Trump has a greater obstacle. He is just an Idiot with no Savant to save him and yet, he is expected to be a President.
You cannot write comedy like this. It has to happen from God Himself to be this insanely hilarious.
The world is going down because we have HOISTED our own PETARD. We have worshipped at the feet of EGO and enslavement to the physical; with sex, drugs, violence and Clockwork Orange-type behavior also on the rise.
Trump is the icing on this cake from hell. A man who needs LOTS of help from those non-leakers. Oh when will we ever learn? If Trump doesn't humble us into changing our greedy, moron behavior, nothing will.
Only a handful of people in a generation are truly great thinkers. There probably aren’t any great thinkers in congress. Only very few people have the rare combination of intellect, wisdom and creativity for original valid thought.
It doesn’t matter because that’s not the function of a leader. Leadership is a homage to the great thinkers in history upon which conservative political philosophy is based. Being president is mostly just about suppressing immoral thinkers such as the leftists and the fascists. It’s not rocket science. It just requires courage and Trump has that in abundance.

"suppressing immoral thinkers" Does that mean trump and his 'moron minions' are Catholic Jehovah's Witnesses? Or Nazis? I guess you failed the class "First Ammendmant 101", just as trump did.
Supression is not persecution. The right to speak freely is not the right to have one’s views accepted, respected, or admired. The right to criticise the speech and actions of scum is the entire function of the first amendment.
The first amendment is a restriction on what laws congress can pass, not on what can criticised by the president or any other citizen.
