      I agree. ALL of life's basic lessons and many of life's non-basic lessons should be taught at home before a child ever gets near a school, a teacher, a classroom, or other children (whose negative influences can mar a child). Formal, informal, and even private education should only reinforce what a child had begun to learn at home.

    Absolutely.  By the time a child is entering kindergarten, they should have a good idea of how to behave, to he respectful to elders and to have at least basic manners.
