- - I think black is a classy color and yet does not distract from the music. (I guess that's nothing new - - all the black that symphony musicians wear attests to something to wearing black when playing music.) But I've also been told I look hot in black, ha! :)
I do it a lot. I've started amassing quite the collection of LBDs (little black dresses). The most recent time, I wore a cute lace LBD with pumps to the Chicano Batman concert earlier this month. Before that, it was a different LBD, fishnets, and boots to a Nekromantix concert. Before that, it was an off-the-shoulder LBD and black gladiator sandals to Michael Franti. Before that, it was an LBD with gold heels to see the Shins. Black works for everything- each of those concerts was markedly different in terms of genre and audience, but I think I did a fine job of blending in at each. It also does a good job of concealing the things you don't want noticed and highlighting your good attributes. Plus, all you have to do is alter your hair, makeup, and accessories and the same dress can work for different occasions/ events. I even got into one of the concerts free. I won't say which one because I'd hate for it to become public knowledge and get him in trouble, but the doorman ushered me in without a ticket. Black is my friend.
Very nice, Veena, but is the one you own solid black? The one in your photo has many other colors. It would have to be a solid black one to fit this question.
