  • I get song 1, 3 and 5, but my imagination isn't good enough, I guess, to figure out how the other two fit the tag TITLE answers TITLE ... but I'll work on it.  Thanks for your answer, Mr. D.

It was 1976 when I was walking through the city library and I saw this record jacket, a guitar with a hub cap where the sound hole belonged. I had never heard of a dobro, so I checked it out to see what it sounded like. I bought a copy right away. Mike Auldridge is considered a legend, right up there with Chet Atkins. Except that Mike spent a lot of effort teaching and transcribing instead of only playing.

  • If I'm not mistaken, Johnny Cash mentioned them in his music a time or two.

    Thanks, ALF

I do really like the song, though!
    :)

But I prefer Robbie Williams, Brenda Lee and Connie Francis from your question and other answers over Phil Collins!
    :)

  • I know ... I was just kidding.  I've seen you use this song before as an answer.  I understand.  :)

    :)

The song has been rather cathartic for me at times, even. Collins delivers the song perfectly to his lyrics. He sounds really mad and he's at a point in which he truly does not care.
    :)

I am slow-on-the-uptake when people are kidding, when communication is all in writing. Sorry.
    :)
