In no particular order: competence, intelligence, humility, fairness.

    1. He must know a lot of people. I mean like hundreds. And he must know them rather well.
    2. He must be rich. You don't want a fellow who can't manage his own affairs.
    3 & 4 - Anything else is incidental.

Sounds a bit sexist - you can only imagine a male leader? As for the bare bones of your criteria. God, no - not her, please! I thought she was effectively flushed down the tubes with the last Presidential election.

It takes money to make money, by your rules a middle-class family man from a poor background wouldn't qualify. Trump started off rich - and had he placed his substantial starting wealth into index funds instead of pretending to be a businessman, he'd be $10bn better off and wouldn't have been bankrupt 4 times, screwing over those who trusted him.

I don't recall any "rules". I stated my personal keys. Nothing more.

    Diplomacy.
    Intelligence.
Experience in liaison with persons from many different socio-economic backgrounds (not just rich a$$holes).
Honesty - particularly the ability and willingness to admit his/her mistakes and shortcomings.

The person need not be a career politician, a career diplomat would be ideal. Or a lawyer who has spent some time as a public advocate/defender/DA. An ER doctor or nurse. A teacher from a rough neighbourhood.
