Hi SpunkySenior~  Me tooo!!!  In fact, I think I'll go make some toast and have some right now.  If Don is good, maybe I'll make him a piece, too!

I did go and make 4 pieces of toast!  Two for each of us.  We had raspberry on one and apricot on the other.  Thanks for the idea :)  I haven't had toast and jam for ages!
My dad turned me on the peanut butter on toast.  I'm going to have that for lunch... which is now!  Thanks Spunky!  You've just solved two of my dining dilemmas for the day!  Any ideas for dinner? ;)

P.S. I have a sneaky suspicion you are going to say,  combine the two and have peanut butter and raspberry jelly on toast for dinner!  Big Giggles!  Lots of love and Hugs!! This post was edited by Merlin at February 3, 2018 4:19 PM MST

LOL ... There have been several times I've had peanut butter and jam for dinner.  Mostly when I get home from work starving and don't want to take the time to prepare anything.  :)

No doubt! They are relatively healthy and very easy make and filling, too!

How about this... I'll create a picnic out of those PBJs! I'll make some quick green salads, grab some potato chips and a couple of apples, and I already have sun-tea made :)  I'll throw down a funky/funny old table cloth in the family room and Taa-Daa!  Instant  picnic at the Merlin household!! If you can, come join us!!! This post was edited by Merlin at February 3, 2018 6:08 PM MST

I like to jam with whatever Smuckers has.  My taste buds are not too picky. Momma used to put up strawberry jam. I actually got tired of it every day in my school lunch PB&J sandwich.

    Thank you, I appreciate it.

I'm hanging in. I shared on the site somewhere about my dad's death. Still feeling surreal.
    I hope you're great!

I apologize if you already knew about my dad. I don't remember all the details lately of things, or what people here have even written.

Ewwwww!  Doesn't it squirm around in your mouth?  How do you bite into it?  Does it squirt when you do?  So many questions about this delicacy ;)

I'm with SpunkySenior.  Raspberry is one of my all time favorites.  Where I grew up, every kind of berry known to mankind would grow.  This drove my mom to making all our jams and jellies.  Jelly being the harder of the two because of the seed extraction.

She would send my sister and me out into the fields to pick flat after flat.  Whoa is us.  She was such a meanie!  No, we really didn't mind at all because the rewards were definitely worth it. :) :)

I will have to say, apricot is up there too :)
