I take it you're fine? You must have been terrified. I would rather have avoided the dark alley all the same. These thugs usually want money, at that point I will not resist but turn in any valuables in my possession. My life is worth more than material things.
One of them approached me and he was so high he was asking me where he was. I think he was just tryng to get close enough to attack. The other two said "Don't do it, come on" to him. He walked towards them then one of the others approached me and asked for a ride. They all seemed intoxicated I backed up and clenched my fist at my side. He looked at my hand and said "Sorry." I told him that "I'm working, I can't give him a ride." He walked away. They all staggard down the street. It worked out fine.
I think I would try to walk away toward a lighted area rather than trying to get into my vehicle. If they got ahold of me they can have whatever they want without me trying to resist much.
The area where I live is not safe to be out and about during the dark hours. A guy in my building was going to a MacDonald's at about 2:30 am was approached by 4 guys who relieved him of his wallet and cell phone then beat him up just for fun. He spent 4 days in hospital.
Thank you. It was a bit overwhelming to see 3 large guys high on something spread out andapproach me from different angles. Kind of like they knew what they were doing. For some reason they changed their mind and when the last guy saw that I was ready to fight maybe he thought it wasn't worth it or something? I don't know, but there was no harm and nobody got shot. I'm actually thankful that I didn't have a gun on me or anything because maybe I would have shot and killed one or more of these young guys for nothing, just because felt cornered in that moment. I'm just glad they came to their senses and moved on and everyone lived.

Well I hope they decided to head home and not cause any more trouble. A long time ago I was on my way home from a pub when 3 guys began to harass me -didn't really seem to mean any harm but just pissing me off somehow then they began walking away but the one troublemaker guy turned around and said "gimme a smoke" I said F*** OFF! Then he punched me in the mouth. I lost two teeth. It cost me $750.00 for a plate to replace my two front teeth.

Wow, that's horrible.I can't believe they did that to you.
Yeah, I could tell that these guys were high and I knew to be very quiet as far as engaging them. There was no one around to help and it was dark and either they were going to attack or they weren't. There was nothing to talk about and I wasn't going to say "F__k off" or anything that would rile up a drunk or drugged up person. I knew I was in a bad situation and so did they. I just stood my ground and the two slightly less intoxicated guys reeled in the crazy one and thankfully they didn't want to go through with attacking me. I think if I would have said something like "F__k you!" The guy that was really messed up may have done something crazy and the whole thing might have ended differently.
Sorry to hear about your teeth. Those guys that did that to you sound like real jerks. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks. I'm always aware that it's dangerous when I'm in those parking lots at night, but in my mind I always imagined it would be one guy possibly attacking me. I didn't ever expect to encounter 3 big guys at once. I was a little shocked by how screwed I was in that situation. I guess that I'll try not to work so late in the future.

I was walking along a street in East End, which is the black section of Atlanta, when a little guy got in my face. He said I only passed through his neighborhood because he allowed it. I couldn't believe that such a little guy was trying to start a fight with me. I told him "Thank you. I appreciate your hospitality." He relaxed, thankful to avoid a fight, I guess. He complimented my good manners and I went on my way.
