No. I wasn't part of anything that had an associated cost. My girls were both in scouting in elementary school but stopped around fifth grade to have time for the activities they preferred over it.
Both. I was a scout until I was about 13, when I got mono and had to give it away for half a year. Never really wanted to go back. When my kids got into Scouting, the leader of the local Joeys (the littlest Scouts, 6-7 years old) was about to retire so my wife and I became leaders.
