I'm not the biggest fan, but I do like jade plant. I have one jade plant back home that I picked out a nursery when I was 5. It's still around and doing very well. :)
There are no cacti native to Australia and relatively few succulents. One cactus that was introduced wreaked havoc on the local environment - prickly pear.
Some idiot brought one here from South America and neglected to bring its natural enemies, so it went crazy and overran everything. Same with rabbits (still a problem) and Salvation Jane (also still a problem, nicknamed "Patterson's Curse"). They brought foxes over to try to control the bunnies - surprise, surprise, marsupials are easier to catch.
