The soft glove leather like Sharonna mentioned. My sofa is made from that grade. It is very very soft. I never never sit on a sofa though, but it's nice to look at and makes a great queen bed for downstairs sleeping and/or guests. I don't at all mind leather products. Why shouldn't we use all of the cow; we're going to kill them for food anyway.

I'm short and I'm never comfortable sitting on a sofa. I prefer my desk chairs which have seats 15" from floor. I never lean back when sitting either. I prefer to sit up straight. I think that is from so many years of singing in choirs.
Egyptian leather is so soft thin and the most expensive I think........it's softened only with pigeon dropings abd still trodden by foot in open vats on the roofs of people's apartments in Egypt.......
I do do hope the was their feet before working it.....:(
