    As long as the weight of the water displaced by the hull of the ship minus the weight of the ship is a positive number, you are in decent shape.

    This cannot be answered.   It figures.   Not all boats have the same figuratives.

    For instance:



    This was the boat of Charon who guides souls to Hell.  Figuratively speaking.   Charon is the reason the boat is afloat.  Figuratively speaking.
