I do not follow a "religion". I have a faith walk that is founded in the infallible Word of God, the Triune Godhead, and the crucifixtion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, where He sits at the right hand of the Father.
What gets me is when someone asks about my beliefs and after telling them they start attacking me or telling me why I'm wrong according to their religious texts, most of the time with quotes from whichever version they want to pick n choose from. Like with you, my beliefs are personal and I'm quite content not wasting my breath arguing about them.
Well said POL. I learned the same lesson. It's easier staying vague. Besides, I am not happy these days with how many religious people treat others. I don't ever want to be lumped in with them tbh, regardless of my beliefs.
Besides, I still question way too many things myself to be preaching at others.
It's an opportunity for you to tell them and show them that you have something better. If it is better and they see it then you have benefitted them. If it is better but they don't see it then it's their loss.
Nothing specific. I like witch craft but I don’t think I would consider it a religion. I read tarot, charge healing crystals, burn sage etc etc. I own a copy of the Satanic Bible as well and sometimes I wear a Sigil of Baphomet. I don’t consider myself a satanist either tho.
James 1:27 states "The form of worship (religion)that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this:to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world." As such i am part of the world-wide association of Jehovah's witnesses.
