Is it okay for teenage boys and adult men to be emotionally sensitive and even cry sometimes?

  • Of course it is. Males are allowed to have feelings and show emotion as well. Anyone who thinks otherwise or says stupid sh!t like “be a man“ “stop acting like a girl“ is an insensitive, insecure piece of trash.

When you say, "okay", do you mean, "naturally occurring", or, "socially acceptable"? This post was edited by bevo at April 2, 2018 9:10 AM MDT

That, alas, currently is still a big no-no... but this is changing slowly but surely.

Off course it is OK. The only exception is when the male doing it is not me. then they are sissies and cry-babies.

Yes, you got to let it out somehow, some men have learned to release their feelings in other ways, swearing and cursing at sports even crying, playing sports, drinking, gambling, smoking (all not very healthy), being active, going to the shed and pottering about, chopping wood,  I think men have been taught to deal with emotions differently to women.

  • It's weird that today I am seeing so many boy positivity or people saying it's okay for guys to show emotion. Nothing wrong with that I don't mind but me growning up I was taught that crying was weak and I noticed how people like my sister who rarely cried gets praised. It made me felt bad but to answer your question no, we are all human

I think it manly when a man cries. Real men cry. The greatest man to walk the earth, the Lord jesus Christ cried. (John 11:35) This post was edited by Autumnleaves at April 25, 2018 12:08 AM MDT
