My primary instinct is hunger. Going to work is not an instinct if I have a job I will go to work for the paycheck to buy food. If I don't have a job then I will have to go out and kill a goat or steal chickens  (from the supermarket).

Right now I'm drinking a cup of tension tamer.  It has been a stressful two days and it's not over.

Instinct tells me a lot of things.

Fear of living hand to mouth and begging does that one for me.

I am 67.  I have had at least 3 careers where I had to go to school to be hired in a certain field.  It NEVER helped my anxiety over what was NOT taught.  That being, the reality of DOING the job in public, with others, with bosses micromanaging your every fart and things changing on you if you DO happen to have a year or two of solace that the job is not making you lose sleep at night over whether you can stand another day.

Such has been my life.  It is a daily struggle still.  (I love massage, I just went back to school for that,  but I have to do it in a SPA with others managing my every move) so, I am still in that working class hero mode.

It's either work or robbing banks---so I guess it is instinct (survival instinct).

I think nobody knows what instinct is.

LOL no my instincts tell me to slap them all round the face and walk out.. but as we are supposedly civilised beings we sometimes have to overcome our instincts... so I go to work and am trying so hard to find a way to make it even vaguely tolerable..

  • Don't let it become 24/7 aggravation for you. Remember, things change.
