I landed on land. It's hard for me to explain. Right at the end of the bridge, the road took a SHARP 90-degree turn to the left and all of this was on a hill -- I was going too fast -- the bridge limit was 15 mph and I was going 55 mph, thinking I was on a different part of this same road - - anyway, once I realized I was on the bridge, I knew I'd not make the turn and made the decision to drive straight out into the air off the road/hill. Like the picture. It was only about a 40-foot drop.

It's interesting -- I seem to remember that in the midst of the seconds it all took, from the moment I knew I would not make the turn and had to go straight out into the air and while in the air, I was very calm and wasn't thinking anything in particular. Weird, I know. If I were a fainter, though, I'd have probably fainted, too, I'd think.
(This happened in the late fall and I landed in a corn field -- and tall corn stalks surrounded me and the car. As I think of it now, it was sort of like when 'Dorothy's house in the movie "The Wizard of OZ" lands in Munchkinland. With a thud and Dorothy, still on her bed, makes that quiet "oomph" sound. That's how I imagine the car and me might have looked.)

My rollover accident had that same eerie calm. I knew the car was going to roll, then I knew the car was rolling, then I knew the car had rolled. No panic, no hysterics, just acceptance. ~
I guess when I got drugged up for my wisdom teeth removal. Just before I went unconscious everything went super slow-mo and turned green and wiggly, too. That was weird. Another was a story my sister told me. She and my mother were on a fair ride and just before it dropped, someone puked. She said the vomit seemed to have paused in mid-air like in The Matrix as it fell along with the ride. Then it suddenly went super speed and splattered into my mothers lap..
Yes....my clockwork puppy started moving very slowly and weirdly as I played with it when I was three or four years old......it was like the planet was stopping revolving and my eight month old baby brothers speech became very slurred.... Then after all that ,my 18 month old sister slowly fell over ....it was all really surreal and spirit'ual feeling ....
I told my mum and my mum really whacked my dad for leaving his half full Whisky glass unattended.....
Its wasn't my dads fault though......it was my mums Gin and tonic that I got pissed on...
Ahhhh ...They were the good ole days when alcohol cost me nuffin ......
Oh, I see. You're in the clear, so you don't care whether or not Nice Jugs gets snatched bald or if Just Asking gets her eyes gouged out, just as long as you get show. Real good, guy.
It's a good job I was I had my computer switched off when I read this ........ I can tell you now ,as an Ex Mugger , I was up all night for a bit of Snatch & Grab ....
Im not sure how that translates in to American Jive talk though......:(
