    Words should serve speech---which of the two groups is the "they" referring to?

    Composing questions carefully and with unambiguous expression of your intent is the bar you have set for yourself.

      Thank you, Tom!  You've brought up a very good point, one that not only did I not see, but that also clears up ALL of the confusion as to what my question truly means and the confusion I had with why certain answers seemed off course. I do see the error of my ways, and as such, I have edited the question accordingly. I will work to repair the damage I've wreaked with my venomous repartee with those responders with whom I struck up  rebuttals.  

    I owe some apologies.
