The only Great Lake I've visited is Michigan. It is lovely and much like being on the Gulf Coast. The beach is very pretty and the lake has breaking waves.
During the Summer, when the water warms up. Yes, it's an algae that produces a toxin. We have been fighting it for years, but the farmers along the river continue to use phosphates in their fertilizer.
I would not eat Tilapia or Basa under any circumstance. If I order gumbo I will ask if it includes. Really, if it's food and if the package say it's from Viet Nam I don't buy it....no matter what it is.

That article was not written by a formal researcher. He does not cite any of his 'facts' Using 'Many have said...' is meaningless. One of those who said it could have been me or you. He may be correct, but I want to see some research. Do you like crab and lobster? Research what they eat. Besides, tilapia tastes good.
