Discussion»Questions»Death and Dying» Supposing you donate your body for the benefit of medical students would make you feel good to do something useful even after you are dead?
Seems like a proper thing to do, though it's apparently a bureaucratic hassle. Don't get why administrations couldn't make such donation the standard, that--instead of the people trying to help--everyone who would not want it be the ones to go through that paperwork repeatedly.
I'm sure it varies quite greatly; that sounds like a good approach, and nice of you to do it. In other countries I believe it's necessary to regularly reaffirm the will to donate.
Yeah i'd like to have an out of body sort of experience sort of thing so I could watch while they are slicing me up and say "ouch -that hurts!" once in a while to see how they react.
I have been planning to do so. I was told they use you for about a year, the make your body presentable for a funeral. I wish to be buried at sea overboard from a US Navy vessel.
