Chaka Khan (born Yvette Marie Stevens, March 23, 1953) is an American recording artist whose career has spanned five decades, beginning in the 1970s as the lead vocalist and focal point of the funk band Rufus. Known as the Queen of Funk, Khan was the first R&B artist to have a crossover hit featuring a rapper, with "I Feel for You" in 1984.[1] Khan has won ten Grammys and has sold an estimated 70 million records worldwide.[2]

Would you believe I have never heard this broad sing? And after fifty years, it's about time she settled down and pretended to be normal.

Do you mean you've never heard any of her music at all, or do you mean you've never attended a concert and heard her sing live?

There was once a question on the old Answerbag------------ 'What do you think of Chaka Khan?'  I answered; "She is a great singer, but I bet she is now overweight".  So 6 months later Chaka Khan goes on tour telling the entertainment media that she lost 80(?)  pounds for the tour.
