I accepted her correction because I think it is honest so I wanted to point that out. Among so much disparagement and ill-will vs. a very normal someone who happens to have been elected president. Which so many seem to take as some kind of personal offense. Really I have never seen anything like it. You would think so many people must live in movie fantasy worlds where everyone has to be perfect or something.
Your last paragraph is interesting. I guess you missed Trump saying that if he ever ran for president, he would do so as a Republican because the Republicans would be the only ones stupid enough to accept him as a candidate.

After considering running but declining to do so as the nominee of the Reform Party (who brought us Ross Perot and other minor wingnut candidates), what he actually said was that he wouldn't run unless he thought he could win, and to have any chance at winning, one must run as a Republican or a Democrat.
I came back to acknowledge the apparent truth that Trump no one has allegedly been able to attribute that reason for his choice of the Republican party to him.

But I attributed the actual reason, which was a direct quote. He considered and was encouraged to run as far back as 1988. This is outlined in the Netflix series "Trump: An American Dream."

I have tried to explain how this thing called politics actually works to people who just vomit out TRUMP is my President. I practice on 8 year olds. I tell them about how Donald Trump got elected. I tell them how people who claim Jesus is their savior are kissing his rear just to stay in power and keep their jobs because you know, Jesus will understand. It's very simple to explain. He stole the election. Trump voters can't see it. But those children grasped it immediately.
We watched liars and usurpers connect with Putin and rig the election. We are supposed to just take it.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT? I HOPE THEY DID BECAUSE IF THEY DID NOT? IT MEANS THAT THE UNITED STATES HAS MORE MORONS IN THIS COUNTRY THAN WE CAN HANDLE. But many of us do feel that it is apparently too much of a challenge for you to grasp and develop a manner of understanding those of us who don't share your views. No, never. If Trump surrendered completely, turned hard left and started extolling the virtues of socialism, the left would still rip him to pieces.
Trump has become a symbol of resistance and surrender is not enough. He has to be destroyed to send a message to Trump's base of what happens when someone messes with the new world order.
