No not necessarily.  Although I do think hate is really a character flaw.  When we encounter what we are unfamiliar with, are not comfortable with, don't understand, or feel threatened by, perhaps don't agree with - of course it is going to give us pause.  And we may not like it. But hate just seems so extreme and obsessive an emotion.  If you can even call it an emotion.  Why not live and let live?  Does everyone have to subscribe to everything we do or act just as we do?  That rather rules out variety and difference.  Which are facts of life.  Trying to enforce conformity through personal negativity only ends up hurting the hater and depriving them of what their life could be. Trump's feats are interesting and also interesting is the psychological profile of devout Trump supporters.

I had posted a link but didn't work.

Everybody assumes that everybody who disagrees with them is mentally deficient. Not just "disturbed", but totally disqualified to be called normal.

Luke 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

"Delivered unto me," get it? Satan is the god of earthly authority. And that is why all political discussions eventually devolve into exchanges of insults.

The bible is pretty clear when people just read it without trying to make it say something it doesn't say. (Or assuming it doesn't say anything at all.)

Of course not. No more than thinking that their opponents all fall into a single category.
