What cute/silly/baffling thing does your dog/cat/budgie or other pet do?

My puppy, (she's coming up for a year old) has this strange thing she does...whenever I give her a biscuit, (probably a cookie to you) she will pretend she is completely disinterested... I try to get her to take it from me... she will turn her head away... and same with almost any treat... if I make her take it, she will then drop it straight on the floor... hmmm what's that about... she will then come back and eat it.. Most *normal* dogs would take the bikky and snap it up in seconds!!

She also stares morosely if I give her anything new to try to eat... acts like I am trying to poison her!

Anyone else got weird pets? Or is it just me?

When ever I say - beep - beep - beep in a high pitched voice my dog starts doing that wolf howling at the moon thing - it's pretty funny and cute. Cheers!

If I lie down on a couch, very often, wherever she is in the house, my feline housemate will come near and sit and stare at me. A long time she'll sit.

And often she'll start purring loudly if she sees me look at her.

Yeah, you're probably right. The weird thing is that so often she doesn't come over closer - - she stands far away - - I forgot to add that part.

She clearly does love you though and you make her happy, just being near you.

Nope...She is just a typical cat, laying around all day doing nothing. Kinda like me.

I have a guard dog (or so he thinks).  He always has to stand with his back to me.  He'll grown or bark at anything that comes within a certain distance from me - even if there's a wall or other obstacle between him and the "trespasser".  And he HAS to do it with a stuffed toy in his mouth (how ferocious can you be with a squeaky duck in your mouth?).  The funny thing is that if someone comes between him and me, he'll instantly go limp.  No guard dog, just a limp cowering dog.  But if he can finagle his way so that he's nearest me he instantly gets into protective mode.  He'll walk across walls, leap over sofas and chairs just to make sure nothing comes between him and me.  It's hilarious to see.  If a hand or even a leg comes between, he goes limp.  You can wave your hand and he'll go from "ferocious" to limp to "ferocious".

My old tomcat has been here for some 10 years.  He was doomed because his former person was shipping out overseas. Anyway, my wife 'gave' me the cat to deal with.  Although we are good friends, the critter likes to grab and chew on my hand until blood is present.
