It means something REALLY stinks! In fact, it smells so bad that even the Lord in heaven can smell it!! It's rank! It stinks, stank, stunk and still does! Pa-shoo! You DON'T want to go in there (as in bathroom)!!! Smells like something crawled up in there and died! Get out the gas masks!
(Thank you Shakespeare for yet another strange saying!)
I guess that means we're not going to that Indian restaurant. I'll take you to that place where they boil a sheep for 12 hours and serve it with soupy mashed potatoes.
I can't bare the smell let alone the taste.....The food burns every part of your lips, mouth and throat.....not to mention else where.... My dad has a friend that eats and loves the stuff.....If he's eaten it the night before ,no one will let him in their vans......If he stinks that bad my dad dad won't let him work inside his customers houses.... In summer when he sweats he reeks of it even more.....
Have you ever kissed anyone that's eaten it.....please don't try if you haven't.....:(
Me too Sunshine!! We can go out to an Indian restaurant anytime! Don isn't a big fan so I never make it or have an opportunity to have it. I'm glad to see someone else does! Yipeee!!
Something is so patently foul, so putrid in it’s essence that it reeks from every crevice of this temporal firmament to the upper reaches of the distant heavens.
Descriptive enough?

I post this only because it seemed both interesting and "erudite."
Stink to high heaven
Meaning - To have a very strong odor.
Origin - This expression probably originated from the well-known Shakespearean play 'Hamlet'. It come from a dialog uttered by Hamlet's Uncle, the King of Denmark - "O, my offense is rank, it smells to heaven. It hath the primal eldest curse upon it. A brother's murder."
