How to tell if you are talking to a bot:

As far as I know, no. We sometimes have bots try to sign up for accounts, but because I manually activate all accounts, I catch them. Those and the ones who don't speak English but want to spam the site with links don't answer the questions right. For example, one of them is "How did you hear about us?" Previous answers from accounts I didn't activate include, "good," "nice," and "no."

It's theoretically possible a real human could set up an account and then set it loose, but I can't fathom why anyone would do that besides to post links/ spam, and if they did that, the account would be closed right away.

My favorite line: "Accusing posters of being bots has even become an oddly satisfying way to insult their intelligence."

I used to be a bot but when the FBI was looking for Hillary Clintons e-mails they found me instead then they took me to Area 51 and used alien technology to turn me into a real boy. Cheers!
