When I listen to the radio, a station break takes several minutes because there might be a dozen or more stations from the Mexican border all the way to Nevada, all owned by one company and running the same programming. So it takes a while to read all the call signs. Like they only have one employee for all those stations to read off the call signs. Or they might not have even one. It's possible that I am just listening to a jukebox.
My other complaint is that I can't tell western, outlaw, gospel, or any other style of programming, except that gospel stations have a lot more talking. Back when every station was owned by a different person or company, they were EMPHATICALLY different!
