Are you sure you know where you're going?

This would be a lot better if the highway department could add a westbound highway to this.

    "Go West"

The Pet Shop Boys - - a GREAT cover to the Village People tune --  and a GREAT video!

I hope everyone can watch/listen if they have not heard this

I remember these guys!  I used to love them back in high school.  I turn up the radio when I hear them to this day! :) :)

If you take I-41 south until you reach the big red barn, then take US-41 south until; you reach old man Johnson's prize heifer, you'll be heading west on Interstate Forty moo .. I mean 42.

    You're bad with directions!

I knew I should've taken that left at Albuquerque!

In 1768 miles take Exit 309 on the right to I-42 East.

OK, I think I got this now.  I'm still not sure exactly where you're sending me.

    That was the idea.

I'm sending you west....  just make sure you're in the correct lane.

You might want to check what the signs say on the other side of the road.

I'll wave if I see you driving by me in the opposite three directions.

That’d be great, but I’m not too likely to be in Wisconsin any time soon. This post was edited by Don Barzini at August 6, 2018 7:26 AM MDT

You can ride with me then.  I'll try to pretend I know where I'm going.

    Nope, the satnav does.

Shoot, I knew I shouldn't have bought a U2 satnav. The streets have no name and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Better than the Bonnie Tyler one. That one kept telling me to turn around, and every now and then it fell apart.

You inspired me to answer in song form.  Even though I am not going to New Orleans or the Quarter, I like the song.
Thanks for the idea!  You can always end up with Bob Segar.  This one isn't too bad.  A little over played when it first came out but still a catchy little tune.

I attended a Bob Seger concert in 1972 at my local high school auditorium.  Tickets were like $2.

OHhhhh the good ol' days when musicians used to be about music and not the quick buck.  I miss those.  I couldn't (nor would I) buy a concert ticket today if my life depended on it.  Even for nose-bleed seats they are like 150 bucks.  It's such a drag.
I would have loved to have seen him in concert.

    Good Times bhwilson. :) :)

I hope you didn't buy this guy's satnav instead!

Interestingly, this happened in the same city as my picture of the wrong-way highway.

Well, I could go to the zoo. Or, I could head about an hour south to a lovely city with a Polish name for which I named my daughter after. Or, I could head northwest about 2.5 hours and be in my hometown. Or, I could stretch it to about three and pop by two of my favorite attractions. I just looked and the circus-themed one is still open, despite the circus being no more. I think I'll take the long way "home."

It looks like you know your way around the wrong-way beltway.

I've never been to Milwaukee.  I found the picture while looking for a picture for a different question so I just came up with a new question for the picture of the wrong-way highway.

I was in Wisconsin at the end of June and we were going to eat at my favorite circus-themed restaurant in Madison but when we got there it was closed and out of business.    Ugh.

There's only three airports I can realistically fly into to get to my hometown; Minneapolis-St. Paul and Chicago tend to be the easiest and cheapest. Either way, I have to get a rental car. Flying into Milwaukee only saves me a couple hours and usually adds $100+ per ticket (one way)... if I'm flying with my three kiddos... soooo not worth it.

So, I rarely go anywhere near Milwaukee. I tend to prefer MSP, but will do ORD and drive up through Rockford/ Madison sometimes. I probably wouldn't have recognized the images if it hadn't been for Don. lol

I don't know the restaurant you're referencing though. :/ It sounded fun. This post was edited by Just Asking at August 6, 2018 9:50 AM MDT
