Well, it was ten days after my birthday, so I was probably still crying and complaining about how nobody remembered it.

Since I am retired, I usually don't care what day it is nor the time.

I always get a hoot out of shows/movies where they ask someone to account for their whereabouts years ago.
I would find it suspicious if someone COULD come up with an alibi for a specific date/time that was more than a few months ago.
I mean, unless you were at the SuperBowl or something.  lol

But yeah ... looking at the calendar, it was a Thursday ... and a pay week ... so I would have been at work during my normal hours.
Then probably at home - where no one can confirm my presence.  lol

Yes I can.  I am sure I was right here at my kitchen table responding to pertinent questions being asked on answerMug.

  • Probably at work. April 22nd, 2017 was UC Davis Picnic Day, so I remember that vividly (and all its drunken debauchery). But after that I'm a little hazy...

It's good to hear you were joining in at the festivities.  I worry about you Nevan B.  You are always so strict and accurate.  It's o.k. to have fun every now and again.  We will laugh WITH you and sometimes at you but that isn't so bad. I know you know this... but this little, famous, rule-of-thumb comes to mind:

*You can please some of the people all the time, you can please all the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all of the time."
It's good to hear you got out there and had some fun.

*Compliments of John Lydgate. This post was edited by Merlin at August 10, 2018 1:18 AM MDT

I was at my neighbor's for a cookout. I'm sure of it.  I am positive.  No question.
