Any nominations for your own Most Perfect Performance by someone in a film?

My nomination is Margaret Hamilton as 'Almira Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West' in 1939's "The Wizard of OZ"

~  there is nothing she does that is not perfect to me in the film

He’s amazing in all his movies. Blood Diamond was another great performance by him. When he got the role for Gilbert Grape, he spent time with special needs children to learn how they acted. He is one of the best.

Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Perhaps tickled, or ticked, as a respected Shakespearian actor doing a bit of silliness, he played the role with just the right mix of dignity, irreverance and humour. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at August 12, 2018 12:10 AM MDT

I could see that being true even though I did not see the movie.

There have been four feature movies with TNG's cast: Generations, First Contact, Insurrection and Nemesis. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at August 12, 2018 5:23 AM MDT

I have to go with Mark Harmon. (Gibbs on NCIS) He reminds me of me.

Is that because you both will go the extra mile to find justice or because you both build boats in your basement or because you both believe that the Navy gets all the steak and the Army gets all the beans? Cheers and happy weekend!

It's his demeanor and there some facial features. And he is 2 months older than me.

If I were only that fortunate.
    :)

I don't watch N.C.I.S. enough to note him, other than I know he's on it.

  • It was either in the late 60's or early 70's, I can't be sure, that Jackie Gleason played a deaf mute in a film titled "Gigio". A very touching and poignant performance.

It's funny and poignant and sad all in one, but what you remember is the funny.
