They came and recruited at my law school. They like to recruit attorneys fluent in multiple languages. I understand that computer science is now the number one major they look for...but still want the languages.
Being a special agent for the FBI is more than detective work. That's like saying I'm going to law school so I can be the U.S. Attorney General. Every police force and PI does detective work. Some of the best PIs are retired from other professions. I think as we get older perhaps some of our instincts are stronger or we have learned how to respond to them plus the advantage of life experience and wisdom assists.
Well my dog and I both have tracking skills so if a fugitive was trying to hide in a forest I could likely find them. I also have the skill of being able to gather information by studying an animals scat - so if a fugitive was trying to hide in the forest and I found some of their scat I could study it and figure out if I should make a stakeout my the blueberry bushes or something like that. Also one of my hobbies is studying human behavior and body language so I think those skills would also make me a good FBI guy. Cheers!
