    Not sure how it would.

Even IF you managed to ban personal motor vehicles in a city ... you still need commercial vehicles to transport goods.
And there is still public transportation.

A school bus is more deadly than a car.

London Mayor says he'll support the partial pedestrianizing of an area around Parliament Square, as does conservative MP, Nigel Evans, the police commissioner, and other officials and MP.

No different than closing off the area around the White House, Buckingham Palace, or 10 Downing Street to vehicle traffic.

They've had a number of incidents where people drive cars into crowds.

Why not ban buses, trucks, and subways as well?

He's just ban happy! He needs to address the problem, but we all know he isn't going to do that.

Not read that, he has said he wants to ban the selling of new petrol and diesel cars to cut pollution in London.  This will be the new Air Quality Plan which will affect all major cities across the country, mind you this air pollution isn't stopping them building new runaways at airports, or flying by private jets to world climate change meetings, or spraying the sky with what they call stratospheric aerosol injection (geoengineering) for the last twenty years which consists of sulphuric acid, hydrogen sulphide or sulphur dioxide, see below for more important information.

Doubt it. Banning something because a group abused their right and caused terrorism doesn't fix it. The tools of destruction are powerless til a person wields it.

I agree you have to fix the root of the problem.
