I'm fairly short and they always seem to cut me in the neck, no matter how I adjust them. The only car I ever had that had comfortable seatbelts was my old Nissan Sentra.
They are uncomfortable for short people. My car has an adjustment but even when at the lowest the belt still rubs my neck which is very uncomfortable and irritating. I used to have a clip that worked well but my daughter hijacked it. I can't find the same thing. I just talked to my brother about this and he said he could put something on it to keep it from being snug at the top which should help. I (along with many others) have dealt with this for many years. I do believe the belts save lives in almost every case.
The edges of the belt cut into my neck and rub me until it's sore....on auto cars or vans I pull the shoulder strap down and hook it over my knee or don't fix it in and just sit on it Some times it's just so distracting to wear on certain vechiles and I wonder how many serious accidents they actually cause ..
I hate that it rubs up on my neck, but I got a little sheep skin thing to put on it so it stops chafing my poor little neck. It also injured my neck and shoulder when I got in a car accident a month or so ago. It wasn't a serious accident, but I guess it was just trying to do its job pinning me down like that.
