(If your can opener were busted . . . )

    The conditional tense.

Depends on whether "busted" is being employed as an adjective or a verb.

I considered that, but it would mean the passive voice is being used, and a can opener cannot bust itself. As such,  'became busted' would be more appropriate. Either way, the sentence was not written correctly.

  • I was just reading about that "not a knife."  Not too surprising, but it was made just for the movie.

With my Swiss army knife can opener. OR...I could just give it to my cat and she would rip it open.

Very good but I don't have a spoon, just a fork and a dish. I could try my thumb nail to do that...

That takes more energy than you would get from eating the tuna.

I'm going to try this.  I'm going to open a small can of tomato sauce when I make dinner.

I don't use electric ones so not much chance of being without one.  I keep two Swing-A-Way hand can openers in the drawer.  Many years ago I got in this predicament and used a bottle open like this.  I just made triangles all around the can.

I'd pick up a new can opener, when I was buying the tuna.
