If god exists why do people need guns ?

Some pro gun advocates have been posting signs thanking god for having guns.

Isn´t it all powerful and supposed to be protecting his people from harm ?

Why do pro gun advocates feel they need guns in order to help the work of their almighty invisible god ?

There is no need for guns and there is no need for Gods protection of our flesh lives in this world when we have a far better eternal life awaiting us (Christians) after we die..

Instead of hoping for that eternal uncertainty, why don´t they try to enjoy what they do have with those they can actually see and touch ?

Matthew 5:10.. Christians are called to be peacemakers and a gun is a tool to help them preserve peace.

Because of their constant rambling and obsession with eternal life, that´s why. Weird.

Not weird.. In this life we experience good, bad and boring... In the eternal Life we shall never experience anything of the negatives we experience here.. So it is logical for one who believes in a coming perfect existence to enthusiastically talk about it..  Nothing weird about it..

Very of weird since no one knows what happens after we die.

God couldn't care less what happens to you. Myths have a way of leaving you hanging.

The "all powerful"  protects us.  Just because we blast each other into oblivion does not mean we are not protected.  We get to come back and learn not to.  Some day we may get it.  God is patient.   We have free will and God is the witness.  God is eternal and so is our soul.  We are all reflections of the Creator and that never dies.

What kind of protection is that ?

Give it another name if you must, but regarding protection "he" really sucks at it.

Deaves, you are so wrong that God doesn't care! He does care. He says "I know the number of hairs on your head"

    He knows your every need.

So, if that is true, how come believers like you pray to change the outcome of things ?

And I agree with Deaves, it doesn't care one bit.

Why hasn't he protected millions of innocents who have been neglected, abused and murdered ?

We need guns, so whenever God tells us to kill someone we can do it.
