Our zoo put the animals in as close as possible to their natural habitat. A few years ago a young antelope managed to jump a fence into the lion's habitat. The lions were quite wild and got a free meal.

Ok, so what's the answer, Teach?  Are they wild or are they domesticated?

I would think they are still considered wild animals.  To me, domesticating an animal would mean they can live among humans without their natural instinct to think of them as dinner.

They are imprisoned against their will and live a meaning less life although it might let their species survive and stop them from becoming extinct....Its cruel to imprison wild creatures....

Wild but caged which is why some form destruction or dysfunctional behaviour. Whereas we were wild but now caged, trained and domesticated.
