Something similar. I was running a cell house and a group of inmates were cornering a pregnant woman who was my subordinate. I stepped in front of her with a mop handle, cussed at the inmates, and threatened them. Fortinately they all backed off and I had them taken to segregation. I was given three days off without pay/suspended for cussing at and threatening the inmates. That sorry pos warden at the time said it was unprofessional. The dumb *** couldn’t understand I did what I had to do to protect a pregnant woman. I was p***** for years. I’m still bitter over it. Fortunately, it didn’t affect my evaluation.
I have never shouted that, but when one of my young nieces and I were walking up and down her block, a large dog got loose from its yard and came running towards us. I quietly told her to get behind me, let the dog sniff without attempting to make a move towards him and at that point, the owner came out and called him back to the yard. I was very nervous, not for myself, but for my niece.
People need to be treated equally. When the ones in need aren't, I do step up to the plate. Not to punish anyone who isn't in need but to help those who are.

Huge Giggles! I've gotta run and finish painting three pots. I now have blue paint all over my keyboard because I stayed and played. It was well worth it. Love ya and talk to all of you soon! Happy! Happy!
